Bio.

Diego obtained his B.Sc. in chemistry from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. His PhD was obtained at the same institution under the supervision of Prof. Marcia L. A. Temperini on single-molecule surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). During the PhD, Diego also studied under the supervision of Prof. Alexandre G. Brolo at the University of Victoria, Canada, working on single-molecule SERS and single-molecule spectroelectrochemisty. In all such studies the focus was on the optical properties of nanostructured materials. In 2015 he joined the Department of Physical Chemistry of the University of Campinas, where he has developed studies on metal nanoparticle local field properties through experiments (spectroscopy) and numerical simulations.
